Ball Transfers are manufactured to the high standards required by the Engineering and Scientific Industries. Applications include: Atomic Research, Tube Handling and inspection, Moveable Acoustic Wall, Sheet Steel Handling, Jig and Tool Handling, Air Cargo, Ball Tables and Convoyer Transfer Points. They will function efficiently whether mounted in 'Ball Up or 'Ball Down' position. For heavy loads where uneven load or track conditions exist, or where shock loading may occur, they can be supplied with spring mounting. This type of mounting is also available where full retraction of the ball is required after final positioning of load i.e. Jig and Press Tool handling, Air Cargo, etc.
Standard units are of all steel construction and all balls used are first quality. The standard finishes are zinc plated and passivation. Materials and finish can be changed to suit specific conditions.
Standard units are recommended for any normal application. Where particularly heavy loads are involved or for applications where reasonable flatness of load and/or track cannot be maintained, spring mounted units are advised.
